DETAILS: Complete your registration online and print your “fast track donation ticket” to save time. Donors will receive an orange hunting-themed T-shirt (while supplies last). Donors can also go to the Baton Rouge Center, 8234 One Calais (off Essen Lane), which takes donations from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays. Volunteer blood donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Additional height/weight requirements apply to donors 22 and younger, and donors who are 16 years of age must have signed permission from a parent or guardian. Donors receive a free cholesterol test. A photo ID is required to donate.

DETAILS: Wear your best elf attire because prizes will be given to the best-dressed elf and the most creative team. Prizes will also be given to winners in various age groups. The event will be professionally chip timed by Cajun Timing.
WHAT: Zachary Gleaux Run 5K and 1-mile fun run

COST: 5K — Free for under age 4; $5 for ages 5-11; $10 for ages 12-17; $20 for age 18 and older. One-mile fun run/walk is $5 for all.
DETAILS: The Gleaux Run is a night-time experience that is less about how fast you run and more about enjoying the music-filled glowing course with your friends and family. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest overall racer as well as the individual and team with the most festive glow items and neon clothes. There will be Gleaux Stations for pictures under the black light and an after party. This event benefits the Zachary Chamber of Commerce with a percentage of proceeds raised going to create and maintain walking and biking trails in Zachary.
