DETAILS: The topic is “The Challenge of Good Nutrition in Celiac Disease.” Gail Johnson, a registered dietitian, life coach and celiac, will attend and be available for questions. The meeting is free and open to anyone, including adult patients and parents of children who cannot eat wheat, rye, barley and contaminated oats.
WHAT: The Baton Rouge Area Parkinson’s Disease Group meeting.
DETAILS: Individuals affected by obesity, friends, colleagues, health care professionals, local hospitals and many others will join forces to raise national awareness of the disease of obesity. Event proceeds benefit the independent educational and research initiatives of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Foundation and the Obesity Action Coalition. Presented by Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Dr. Jonathan Taylor, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Pennington Biomedical Research Center and Woman’s Hospital.
