DETAILS: Campaign for Healthcare for Everyone – Louisiana partner organizations and the Navigators for a Healthy Louisiana will provide the latest information on how and when to sign up in the Affordable Care Act health insurance marketplace; updates about the coverage gap and resources for those who don’t qualify; and voter registration. The campaign is a coalition of health-care providers, nonprofit organizations, consumer groups, businesses and faith-based organizations who have come together in support of expanding health coverage in Louisiana by taking advantage of the opportunity presented to states by the ACA.
WHAT: Fourth annual Sticker Stampede 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, hosted by the St. Joseph’s Academy Alumnae Association
WHEN: 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15
WHERE: St. Joseph’s Academy, 3015 Broussard St., Baton Rouge
REGISTRATION: Online registration at stickerstampede.org is available until midnight Nov. 13. Early registration through Nov. 7 is $20. Race-week registration Nov. 8-15 is $25.
DETAILS: All registrants will receive a short-sleeve race T-shirt. The family-friendly post-race village presented by Woman’s Center for Wellness and Woman’s Orthopedics will include free food and beverages, wellness information, including the Woman’s Hospital Mobile Mammography Coach, and an array of activities for children. Prizes will be given for Overall, Masters and age-group winners in both male and female divisions, along with overall winners in our special Stroller Division for those with little ones in tow. A group prize will go to the winner of the corporate team division registering the most participants.
