Kathy Stites, of the BREC Capital Area Pathways Project, will speak on plans for connecting people and parks using native vegetation for restoring habitats, streams and banks at the Sunday, Feb. 21, meeting of the Capital Area Native Plant Society.

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the LSU Burden Botanic Gardens, 4560 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge.
