East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners kicks off its 2015 Basic Gardening Series on Thursday, Feb. 5.
This year’s gardening series has expanded offerings in five East Baton Rouge libraries, according to publicity chair Donna Montgomery.
“Programs will include topics such as vegetable gardening, turfgrass, blueberries, citrus, making a raised bed, pet-friendly gardens, ferns, shrubs, composting and planting bulbs,” she said.
Each two-hour evening program will cover two topics with time for questions. Programs are taught by Master Gardeners, volunteers trained and certified by the LSU AgCenter to provide horticulture information to the public.
