Need a little landscaping inspiration? Take the 17th annual Pond and Garden Tour for ideas that will make your backyard a tropical oasis.
The fundraiser for Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 3, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 4, and will include nine ponds and gardens. Eight of the sites will be open both days. Chef John Folse's White Oak Plantation will be open only on June 4.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Harb's Oasis, 13827 Coursey Blvd., which is the tour's presenting sponsor. Tickets also will be available at the home of Charbel and Ruth Harb, 841 Pastureview Drive, and the home of Bob and Sue Elliott, 7006 Dianthus Drive, both of which are on tour. FHF is selling tickets at its office, 2356 Drusilla Lane.
