With a theme of “Forever Young: The History and Traditions of Iduna,” the Krewe of Iduna held its 58th annual Mardi Gras Ball on Jan. 6 at the Raising Cane’s River Center Exhibition Hall. Ball Captain Gerianne Pearson Todd presided over the festivities.

King Bragi LVIII Andrew Alvin Navarre, husband of Ina Gremillion Navarre, and Queen Iduna Alana Kendall Voorhies, daughter of Roxane Sims Voorhies, reigned over the ball.

Ladies-in-waiting to the ball captain were Sarah Elizabeth Lindrew, daughter of Todd and Susan Lindrew; Madison Claire Calandro, daughter of Kelley Lachney and Stephen Calandro; Caydi Marie Caraccioli, daughter of Lance Caraccioli and Nicole Gee; and Emma Rose Leger, daughter of Jessica and David Leger.

Attending the king were Esquire Wyatt James Jones, son of Jennifer Layne Tucker; Esquire Connor Cain McGehee, son of Charlotte and Troy McGehee; and Page Jaxton Carlos Menke, son of Ashlee and TJ Menke.

Attending the queen were Pages Sadie Marie Menke, daughter of Ashlee and T.J. Menke; and Stella Chloe Koufos, daughter of Holly Caplan and Steve Kufos.

Maids and dukes each represented a part of the legend of Iduna.

Maid Chancely Nicole Courson, daughter of Gaye and William “Bud” Courson, portrayed “Harp,” and was escorted by her father.

Maid Piper Kate Daniel, daughter of Sheree Daniel and Thomas Daniel Jr., portrayed “Freya,” and was escorted by her father.

Maid Elayne Catherine Elnaggar, daughter of Allison Elnaggar and Sharif Elnaggar, portrayed “Flame.” Duke Ralph Paul “Trey” Voorhies III, son of krewe member Roxane Sims Voorhies and Paul Voorhies, escorted her.

Maid Hannah Christine Keiser, daughter of Mary and Shawn Keiser, portrayed “Spring," and was escorted by her father. 

Maid Caitlin Annaleigh Winter, daughter of Ami Gremillion Winter, portrayed “Sparrow,” and was escorted by her godfather, Duke Christopher James Gremillion. 

Maid Cara Elizabeth Winter, daughter of Ami Gremillion Winter, portrayed “Winter,” and was escorted by Duke James Francis Riente Jr.
