The icons of fashion inspired the Krewe of Iduna's 57th annual Mardi Gras Ball Jan. 21 to the Raising Cane's River Center Exhibition Hall. Reigning over "Vogue" were King Bragi LVII Harold “Skip” Russell Paul, husband of krewe member Margaret M. Marshall, and Queen Iduna LVII Michelle Jeanette Bahlinger, daughter of Alice and Gerald Bahlinger.

Welcoming krewe members and guests were krewe President Geri Pearson Todd and Past Captains President Roxane Voorhies. Ball Captain Jennifer Norsworthy Meyer presided over the evening’s tableau. Six dancers from the Powell Moise Studio struck poses around the ballroom until last the spotlight focused on the Norsworthy, who walked the red-carpet runway to Madonna’s theme song, “Vogue.”

She was followed by the king, queen and their entourage. Attending the king were pages Hayes Edward Woods, son of Mary Presley and Brandon Woods; Cash Joseph Blanchard, son of Christen and Bartt Blanchard; and Collin Cade McGehee, son of board member Charlotte McDaniel and Troy McGehee; and esquires Gage Duncan Blanchard, son of Christen and Bartt Blanchard, and Campbell Marlow Moise, son of Emily Moise-Fontenot and Chris Paul.

Attending the queen were pages Kennedy Hart Halley, daughter of Jennifer and Joshua Halley; Olivia Rose Clouatre, daughter of Melanie and Justin Clouatre; and Lilly Marie Labauve, daughter of Jennifer and Karey Labauve; and ladies-in-waiting Liza Lea White, daughter of Lisa and Edwin White, and Chloe Camille McGehee, daughter of Charlotte McDaniel and Troy McGehee.

Next to enter the ballroom were the six maids, each representing an influential fashion designer and all wearing headpieces inspired by designer Alexander McQueen. They included:

Lauren Elizabeth Hebert, daughter of Leslie and Donald Hebert, representing Schiaparelli. She was escorted by Duke Ross Jameson Ford, husband of krewe board member Britney Ford.

Molly Kathleen Bahlinger, daughter of Alice and Gerald Bahlinger, representing Erte. Her father served as her duke and escort.

Caroline Elise Martin, daughter of Jan and Tom Martin, representing the designer Chanel. Her father served as her duke and escort.

Anna Leigh Shaffett, daughter of Leigh Ann and Todd Shaffett, representing Balenciaga. She was escorted by Duke Matthew Meyer, husband of the ball captain.

Abbigail Anne Ardoin, daughter of Letti and Robert Kyle Ardoin representing Valentino. Her father served as her duke and escort.

And, Melissa Claire Currier, daughter of Christine and David Currier, representing Dior. She was escorted by Duke Taylor Wills Baldridge, son of Nancy and Robert Baldridge.

Entertaining guests with choreographed dance numbers depicting aspects of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Benefit, otherwise known as “the Met Gala,” were the couples and ladies of the krewe.
