A Lafayette comic book artist could see his work on the silver screen soon.

According to an article from Deadline Hollywood, 20th Century Fox has picked up the rights to “Tag.” Lafayette’s own Kody Chamberlain did the artwork for the BOOM! Studios comic. He has since worked on the multimedia “Punks” series and created his own critically-acclaimed miniseries “Sweets.” Keith Giffen (“Justice League,” “Doom Patrol”) wrote “Tag.”

The 2006 comic book is a psychological thriller about a man who is “tagged” by a random stranger. The man then realizes his body is decomposing before his eyes.

Director John Leonetti (“Annabelle”) is attached to direct a script by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski. The film will feature a female protagonist.

“Tag” was one of the first titles published by BOOM! Studios.
