CBS’ new show, “NCIS: New Orleans,” will film aboard the USS KIDD next week, KIDD Executive Director Alex Juan said in a news release Wednesday.

The KIDD destroyer and adjacent Veterans Museum will be closed to the public from Monday until Friday for the TV shoot and ongoing inventory of all museum and ship artifacts.

The new show is a spin off of the long-running “NCIS” and stars Scott Bakula, CCH Pounder and Zoe McLellan. Set in the Crescent City, it’s based on the real life Naval Criminal Investigative Service bureau in Louisiana.

“This partnership couldn’t come at a better time as we’ve been looking for creative ways to generate more income and having ‘NCIS’ film here will not only help us financially but will highlight both the KIDD and the city of Baton Rouge,” Juan said in the release.
