Investigation Discovery to feature Addis case _lowres

The Investigation Discovery series “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall” will feature the 2010 homicide case of Addis businessman Corey Kitts at 9 p.m. Sunday.

Monique O. Kitts and her children discovered Corey Kitts’ bullet-riddled body in their home on the morning of July 9, 2010. He had been shot three times. Kitts’ wife and Karl Michael Howard, of Roswell, Georgia, were convicted of second-degree murder in January in the murder-for-hire scheme in which she allegedly hired Howard to kill her husband. In March, each received life in prison without benefit of parole or probation.

The episode will include interviews with Courtney Popleon Kitts, Corey Kitts’ daughter; Dorey Kitts and Corey Kitts Jr., the couple’s daughter and son; Tony Clayton, special prosecutor, 18th Judicial District; Detective Bill Starnes, Addis Police Department; and Detective Ted Berthelot, West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Investigation Discovery is on cable Channel 103.
