One of country music’s most popular singers will grace the Cajundome’s stage this weekend.

Seven-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood is bringing her new tour to the Lafayette venue. The Storyteller Tour — Stories in the Round show will start at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $42.55-$74.05 and available at cajundome.com. There is an 8 ticket limit. Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers will open up the show.

Underwood’s tour will take her to 40 arenas across the United States and Canada. At each stop, the stage will be located in the middle of the arena floor, allowing fans to get a 360-degree, intimate experience with the superstar.

In October 2015, Underwood released her fifth album, “Storyteller,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and in second place on the Billboard 200 chart.

To date, the record has sold more than 500,000 copies stateside thanks to chart-topping singles like “Smoke Break,” “Heartbeat” and “Chaser.” This month, she released a fourth single, “Church Bells.”

Many might remember Underwood as the season four winner of “American Idol.” Shortly after the victory, she took over the radio waves with singles such as “Inside Your Heaven” and “Jesus, Take the Wheel” in 2005.

The Lafayette show will be a quick one. Right after Sunday’s performance, Underwood will get on the road for a Monday show in Houston after her April 19 show there was postponed due to severe weather.
