Baton Rouge Concert Band fall performance set for Sunday _lowres

The Baton Rouge Concert Band will welcome spring with its annual spring concert, titled “Scenes and Landscapes,” at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, 529 Convention St.

The band, under the direction of Sheily Bell, will perform a lineup of songs that paint pictures of landscapes throughout the world.

The first part of the program will feature “Fanfare of Wakakusa Hill,” “Awakening Hills,” “A Highland Rhapsody,” “The Silent Hills of My Childhood,” “Molly on the Shore” and “Southwest Saga.” Songs in the concert’s second half will be “Manhattan Beach March,” “Mandalen Landscapes,” “Fingal’s Cave Overture,” “Variations on ‘Scarborough Fair’” and “Merry-Go-Round.”
