The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra continues its Lamar Family Chamber Series with two performances of its “Holiday Brass” at 7:30 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Cathedral, 412 North St., and 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Houmas House, 40136 La. 942, Darrow.
Join the orchestra’s associate conductor, David Torns, and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players for selections such as “Jingle Bells,” “We Three Kings” and “Sleigh Ride,” among others.
Concertgoers attending the St. Joseph Cathedral concert are in for a festive treat with the Red Stick Ringers performing before the concert and Baton Rouge High School Festival Singers performing with the Brass Chamber Players on stage.
Concertgoers at Houmas House will be treated to a stroll through the manicured grounds on the way to the concert. Houmas House also will offer brunch at Café Burnside begining at 11 a.m. Last seating is at 2 p.m. Latil’s Landing Restaurant and The Carriage House will serve dinner following the concert.
