Sunday afternoons in downtown Baton Rouge will feature a little zydeco, variety and country music this fall.
The annual Sunday in the Park concert series, put on by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, announced its fall 2015 schedule this week. Delta Drifters, a blues band from St. Francisville, will open the season Oct. 4.
Zydeco musician Sean Ardoin will also play in mid-October. Ardoin has performed at Carnegie Hall, and Jazz Fest in New Orleans. He and his band, Zydekool, released a full-length album “Return of the Kool” last year.
All six upcoming shows are free and will be held 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at North Boulevard Town Square. Each show will also feature activities for children, including face painting and balloons.
