Thanksgiving is just a week away and then the craziness really starts.

If you want a quite moment to help put things in perspective, I have just the ticket. This afternoon at 2, the Baton Rouge Eye Bank and LOPA (Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency) are hosting their annual Thanksgiving Service for Life & Sight in the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center’s Rosary Chapel. It’s a beautiful, touching service that I guarantee will give you a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. It’s not a depressing service; rather a celebration of the generosity and kindness of strangers. I hope you’ll join me for what is one my favorite holiday traditions.
