Tomorrow is the start of the holiday season, and I hope you and yours have a very Happy Thanksgiving. After you’ve filled up on turkey and all the trimmings, take a few minutes to count your blessings. Then get out your calendar and mark a few dates for some upcoming holiday events.

The American Cancer Society hosts a holiday open house at its headquarters, 10528 Kentshire Court, from 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 3.
And on Dec. 6, the Baton Rouge Symphony League will hold a Jingle Bell Tea at 1 p.m. at De La Ronde Hall. Tickets are available at brso.org.
