Aaron, Taner, Tim and Tyler Bourque took first-place bragging rights in Brave Heart Children in Need’s fourth annual golf tournament June 28 at the Pelican Point Golf Club. They received their award at a celebratory lunch catered by Don’s Seafood Hut in Gonzales following the tourney. The luncheon also included a silent auction and door prize drawing.

Coming in second was the four-man team of Cole Arseneault, Tyler Armstrong, Adam Taylor and David Mata. Third place was the PCS Nitrogen team of Wendell Ashford, Scott Cockerham, Dewayne Brown and C.J. Ackman. Bill Delaune took home the prize for “closest to the pin” while Ashford got the prize for “longest drive.”

Proceeds from the tournament will go towards Brave Heart’s Christmas program, which provides gift bags to about 4,000 children in foster care in the 37 parishes served by the nonprofit organization. For more information, visit braveheartchildren.org.
