All of the Lights

Downtown hosts the Festival of Lights this Friday night and as part of that celebration the Foundation for Historical Louisiana throws open the doors of the Old Governor’s Mansion for its annual open house. Admission is a nonperishable food item for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

So, bring the kiddies by for a showing of a holiday classic movie and to meet Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. Photos with the jolly couple are available for a nominal fee.

Down the hill at the Louisiana Arts & Science Museum they’re hosting special planetarium showings of “Let It Snow” at 5, 7 and 8 p.m. Admission is free with the donation of one new toy per person benefiting Toys for Tots. Toys may be purchased in the Museum Store.

See you downtown!
