CRABBING PIER AT Grand Isle State Park CLOSES FOR RENOVATION

Effective immediately, the crabbing pier in the lagoon at Grand Isle State Park is closed to the public. The pier is being upgraded and will include a fish cleaning station, new decking and built-in rod holders for fishermen. The project is anticipated to be complete by March 2012.

Grand Isle State Park is located on the east end of Grand Isle on Admiral Craik Drive. The only state-owned and operated beach on the Louisiana gulf coast, the site offers fishing, crabbing, camping, hiking and wildlife watching opportunities.
