Troy LeBlanc, NASA's Chief of the Mission Systems Division in the Flight Operations Directorate, spoke Thursday, Feb.1, during a presentation to students at Lee Magnet High School. Lee is home to the premier Pre-Engineering Jump Start Pathway, under which students get hands-on experience in engineering, robotics and computer science courses as well as Advanced Placement math and science courses to prepare them for future engineering and computer science careers. LeBlanc, whose work revolves around human space flight, was born and raised in Thibodaux. He's married to the niece of East Baton Rouge School Board District 7 representative Mike Gaudet, a factor which helped bring LeBlanc to Lee for the speaking engagement.
