A parade celebrating Istrouma High School's  centennial rolled down Winbourne Ave. and 38th Street passing the school, Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. Closed for three years, the historic school reopened in August, and is celebrating its centennial (the school first opened in 1917, but at a different location) with a series of events, including a gala Friday night, a Pow Wow Saturday after the parade, and a Centennial Gospel Jubilee in the Istrouma High Gymnasium, at 3 p.m. Sunday.
