One week and the SEC Championship Game to go before CFP semifinal parings and bowls are announced on Dec. 3, and so much remains to be decided.

Everything starts with whether three SEC teams — Alabama, Georgia and Auburn — can get into the CFP semifinals/New Year’s Six bowls with at least two more losses.

If so, Mississippi State appears likely for the Citrus Bowl with a win Thursday over Ole Miss, though the Orlando Sentinel's Brant Parsons makes the intriguing pick of having the Tigers back in his town for a second straight Citrus Bowl, this time against N.C. State.

LSU still makes a good choice for the Outback Bowl. Whom would the Tigers play in Tampa? Our heart says Michigan, which LSU has never played in football, but we’ll continue to project Michigan State as the Tigers’ Big Ten opponent. The Outback Bowl will also be played a day after the New Orleans Saints play Tampa Bay in their regular season finale at Raymond James Stadium.

This is all predicated on LSU beating Texas A&M on Saturday, of course.

Here's the schedule of bowl games mentioned: TaxSlayer Bowl: Jacksonville, Florida (11 a.m., Dec. 30, ESPN); Liberty Bowl: Memphis, Tennessee (11:30 a.m., Dec. 30, ABC); Outback Bowl: Tampa, Florida (11 a.m. Jan. 1, ESPN2); Citrus Bowl: Orlando, Florida (noon, Jan. 1, ABC)
