Some 2,000 turkeys are prepared for thanksgiving during the month of November at Franks restaurant on Airline Highway. Fried, smoked and baked, all are favorites. Turduckens and hams are available also as well as pans of side dishes including cornbread dressing, sweet potato crunch, green bean casserole, broccoli/rice casserole, rice dressing and potato salad. Frank Dedman Jr. said fried turkeys are the most popular because it's good for making sandwiches if any is left ever. He also said they have been smoking and frying turkeys for over 30 years. They started with a regular smoker filling only 13 turkey requests the first year. The rest is history saying "Happy Franks-giving".
