Ballet Hysell will present works choreographed by the late Harvey Hysell at a special fall concert Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall at Loyola University, 6363 St. Charles Ave.

Ballet Hysell is a company of 25 local dancers, many of whom were students developed through the Ballet Hysell School.

The program includes “Nevertheless,” choreographed in 1979, “Chopin Variations” and “A Whisper of Love,” both choreographed by Hysell in 1974, as well as “Bandoneon,” choreographed by Diane Laizer Carney, who served as associate artistic director of Ballet Hysell and director of Ballet Hysell School for many years.

General admission tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for seniors, military and students; and $10 for children.

Tickets may be purchased at or by calling (504) 897-5505.

The concert follows a tribute performed earlier this year in honor of the dancer, choreographer and teacher, who passed away about five years ago.
