Terry the Sulcata tortoise, missing since April 9, has been found and is now back with his owner, according to a post from the Lost Pets of Baton Rouge Facebook page.
Jerome Tolliver, who lives in the neighborhood, had picked Terry up last week and knew he was someone's pet, the post says.
Tolliver is not on Facebook so he didn't see all that traffic regarding the missing tortoise. Corey Miller, Tolliver's neighbor, is on Facebook and made the connection and contacted Carey Coxe, Terry's owner.
Coxe, an environmental impact specialist at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, says he "picked Terry up and brought him home and he is doing great."
Terry the Sulcata tortoise escaped Wednesday, April 9, from his temporary enclosure at his home in the Garden District on Myrtle Avenue.
