Boy Scouts from Runnels School participated in the Sewell-Eagle Camporee held April 23-24 at the Avondale Scout Reservation in Clinton, organized this year by Runnels Troop 203 and Scoutmaster Ron Miller.

Freshman Alex Morgan and eighth-grader Cole Latiolais placed second in the Adventure Race. The boys used a compass to navigate a 4-mile course that included canoeing, archery, hatchet throwing, a trail run, riflery and basic Scouting skills, as well as several mystery challenges.

Eli Latiolais, a fifth-grader, won third place in the dessert contest for his chocolate berry cobbler.
