The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office will host its annual ceremony to recognize and honor murder victims on Tuesday.
The “Evening of Remembrance” will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Chapel on the Campus, 3355 Dalrymple Drive.
The event allows relatives of murder victims to talk about and share special memories of their lost loved one.
The family of Alexandra Engler, killed Sept. 24 during a burglary of her Beauregard Town home, is expected to speak at this year’s event, organizer Sgt. Carolyn Stapleton said.
The mother of Jonathan Calvert, killed May 4 during an armed robbery at a crawfish boil on Aster Street, is also expected to speak, Stapleton said.
The public is invited to attend.
