Traffic has reopened on Interstate 12 in Livingston Parish following a Monday afternoon wreck.
Shortly before 1 p.m., a westbound tow truck jumped the median and crashed into a ditch next to eastbound lanes near the Livingston exit, said Louisiana State Police Trooper First Class Jared Sandifer. State police believe the truck wrecked after a wheel blew out.
The driver, who has not been identified, suffered “moderatet to severe injuries,” the trooper said. No other vehicles were involved, and no one else was hurt.
Authorities closed eastbound lanes until around 2:45 p.m. Sandifer said traffic was still backed up and encouraged drivers to find a different route.
