Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group recently opened the Primary Care for Women clinic, offering a full spectrum of health care services for women 18 and older.
The clinic is staffed by Drs. Katherine Pearce and Jeri Johnson. Both are board certified in internal medicine.
“Women, like men and children, have different health care needs,” Pearce said. “This clinic was created to give women access to primary care and specialty care delivered by physicians who focus on the unique health care needs women may be faced with at different stages of their lives.”
Johnson received her medical degree from LSU Health New Orleans and completed her residency in internal medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine.
Pearce received her medical degree from LSU in Shreveport and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
