Photo provided by Friends of the Animals -- Thorpe is already neutered, housetrained, up-to-date with shots, and good with kids and dogs. Beautiful, brindled Thorpe grew up in the Baton Rouge animal shelter. He was taken there as a little puppy and is now 6 months old. He is in foster care and enjoying life outside of the shelter. He weighs about 32 pounds and doesn't chase cats. Thorpe loves going to the dog park, playing fetch, swimming, going for walks and a good chewing bone. He sleeps in his kennel at night. Thorpe's ideal home would be a more active household that would be able to enjoy daily walks with him. Since he is so playful, a house with kids about age 10 and up would be ideal. Having a companion dog to play with in his new home also would be perfect for him as he loves to play so much with his foster doggy sister all day long. His foster dad is attending basic obedience classes with him so that he can add more tricks to his hat. He is a quick learner and already knows sit and stay. Contact his foster dad at (225) 573-3146.
