Rob Smith will be the new athletic director at St. Michael High School when school begins in August.
Smith has been a faculty member at St. Michael since 2004, where he also has served as head volleyball coach. During his time at St. Michael, he has served as the assistant softball coach for four years, assistant boys soccer coach for five years, and most recently, the assistant athletic director for five years.
Smith is a graduate of Woodlawn High School and Southeastern Louisiana University and has 13 years’ coaching experience.
His wife, Ally, works at St. Alphonsus Catholic Elementary School and they have two children, McKenzie and James.
Smith will replace Tami Reynolds-McClure, who has served in this role for the past eight years. Reynolds-McClure is stepping back with plans to increase her focus on girls basketball and golf, where she has served as the head coach for 16 and 12 years, respectively.
