BREC’s Farr Park Equestrian Center, 6402 River Road, hosts its second annual Derby Day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on May 7.

Guests are invited to a Kentucky Derby viewing party, featuring a viewing of the race on the big screen. Food and classic drinks will accompany a variety of Derby-themed games and activities, including hat and bowtie contests; a silent auction; horseshoe games; stick horse races; and bugle-blowing contests.

Visitors will get to experience Kentucky Derby traditions complete with mint Juleps and floppy hats.

Eight-top round tables can be purchased as a whole, or by individual seats at $200 per table or $25 per person. Each ticket includes one free mint julep and a free wine tasting.

The event is recommended for adults, although children are allowed to attend.

BREC’s Farr Park Equestrian Center is one of the area’s largest and most versatile centers for horse enthusiasts. It features a lighted indoor and outdoor arena, 162 stalls, a cross-country eventing course, horse trails and an RV campground.
