All city-parish government offices, courts and public libraries will be closed on Monday for the Fourth of July, but garbage and trash pickup, most public park facilities and bus services will be operating as they normally do on Mondays.

Garbage, trash and recyclables will all be collected on the schedule for residents who receive those services on Monday, and Capital Area Transit System buses will run on their normal Monday schedule.

All BREC golf courses will be open on Monday, as will recreation centers with gymnasiums and special facilities including the Baton Rouge Zoo, Liberty Lagoon Water Park, Baton Rouge Gallery, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Cohn Arboretum, Farr Park Equestrian Center, Highland Road Park Observatory, Independence Park Theatre and the Perkins Road Community Park BMX track and rock climbing wall.

BREC’s tennis centers, the Magnolia Mound plantation, recreation centers without gymnasiums and BREC’s administrative offices will be closed.
