East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s detectives are looking for a man who was armed with a knife when he robbed a Subway restaurant on Sherwood Forest Boulevard.

The robber walked into Subway at about 12:30 p.m. Friday and demanded employees open a cash register while he threatened them with a knife, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

When employees ran to the back of the store, the suspect jumped over the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer, according to the release. The robber then jumped back over the counter and fled. He was last seen running north on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard, the report says.

The suspect is white, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build.
