North Street downtown to close for filming of scenes for Tom Cruise movie _lowres

North Street in downtown Baton Rouge is being closed to traffic from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday for the filming of scenes for the movie “Jack Reacher 2: Never Go Back,” starring Tom Cruise, city-parish officials said.

Baton Rouge police will be on location, restricting traffic before, during and after the closure on the 100, 200, 300 and 400 blocks of North Street.

In addition, “No Parking” signs will be posted on the following streets for the filming and its preparations during the time periods below:

10 a.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Monday : 300 and 400 blocks of North Street; 500 and 600 blocks of North Third Street; 500 and 600 blocks of North Fourth Street; 300 and 400 blocks of Spanish Town Road (Capitol side)

10 a.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Tuesday: 100 and 200 blocks of North Street; 500 and 600 blocks of Lafayette Street.
