Authorities arrested at least five people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday, booking records show.
Those booked and the counts against them:
Michel Heckard, 48, 1648 N. 49th St., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, equipment violation, driver’s license not in possession and reckless operation of vehicle.
Victoria Layfield, 31, 8084 Essen Cove Drive, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, failure to maintain control of vehicle, license plate required and insurance required.
Tuan Le, 43, 1257 Cristy Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, headlights required and careless driving.
Michael Pontiff, 29, 3622 Quiet Forest, Magnolia, Texas, first-offense DWI, possession of alcoholic beverage in vehicle, reckless operation and intimidating a public official.
Lawrence Roth, 20, 235 Surgi Drive, Mandeville, first-offense DWI, failure to maintain, improper lane usage, hit and run, unlawful purchases of alcoholic beverage and reckless operation.
