The Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center’s first Outstanding Customer Service Awards recently were awarded to Angela R. Jackson, an administrative assistant IV in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Extension, and Curtis Chisley, a research associate and interim livestock show director.
Jackson and Chisley were honored Dec. 17 during the Center’s 2015 Scholarship Gala at L’Auberge Baton Rouge Casino & Hotel. Each received two tickets to the gala and $150.
“As the outreach arm of the Southern University System, the staff of the SU AgCenter are the individuals who work directly with the citizens of Louisiana, and it is important that we honor these staff members who have gone above and beyond to assist and ensure our clientele have a rewarding experience,” said Adell Brown Jr., SU AgCenter chancellor.
Jackson has been employed by the SU AgCenter since 2004 and Chisley since 2006.
The award was open to any full-time staff employed by the SU AgCenter and/or has an appointment with the center for at least three years, a news release said. Staff were nominated for the award by their fellow co-workers through an application process.
