The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for this year’s Christmas Crusade toy drive through Friday afternoon.
Parents can apply on behalf of their children who are under 12 years old at one of several Sheriff’s Office substations or at the Baton Rouge City Constable’s Office’s Community Services Division inside Cortana Mall, officials with the Sheriff’s Office said.
The application period began Monday and ends Friday. Applicants must live in the parish, and parents must provide each child’s social security number to apply.
The Christmas Crusade accepts new, unwrapped toy donations at Cumulus Media Inc., 631 Main St.; the City Constable’s Office in City Hall; the constable’s office inside Cortana Mall; and at the Sheriff’s Office substations.
No child will receive more than one toy through the program, and presents will be delivered prior to Christmas Day.
