Capital Area CASA Association honored its volunteers for their advocacy work on behalf of abused and neglected children at the 2015 CASA Holiday Open House on Dec. 8 at the CASA office, a news release said.
The open house was hosted by the board of directors and staff.
Volunteers selected holiday gifts and toys — donated by community individuals, businesses and organizations — for their CASA children. Guests enjoyed a photo booth, took home handcrafted ornaments from CASA’s Christmas tree and listened to carols performed by members of the Greater Baton Rouge Children’s Chorus with Director Jennifer Ellis.
Volunteers from National Charity League and Zachary Industrial wrapped gifts, greeted guests and staffed the kitchen throughout the evening.
