The Dance Marathon at LSU announced on March 5 it raised $265,835.69 for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
The announcement came at the group’s third annual Big Event in John M. Parker Coliseum. Funds were raised entirely by LSU students through individual donations as well as various community fundraisers and events throughout the 2015-16 year, a news release said.
Dance Marathon at LSU’s 2016 fundraising total saw an increase of 45.53 percent from its previous year’s fundraising total of $182,672.45. Since 2013, Dance Marathon at LSU has raised $554,066.02 for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Dance Marathon at LSU is one of more than 400 Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs throughout the United States and Canada that support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by fundraising throughout the year.
