Lasseigne’s American Grill opens Friday, offering such dishes as crawfish grilled cheese, seared grouper, Cajun Cuban _lowres

Lasseigne’s American Grill, a new restaurant at 7520 Perkins Road, will open Friday, Jan. 8.

The restaurant will be open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The bar will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Business hours after Friday’s grand opening are set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday for brunch.

Lasseigne’s American Grill was formerly Frankie Marcello’s, which closed in August 2015 after three years in business. The new restaurant is named after co-owner Philip Lasseigne.

In the kitchen is chef Aaron Brown, formerly of Restaurant IPO and Spice Bistro & Bar. Brown will prepare traditional Southern and American dishes.

For lunch, patrons can expect sandwiches like a smoked gouda and crawfish grilled cheese and a Cajun Cuban as well as six types of burgers.

At dinner, the restaurant is serving entrées like blackened redfish, seared grouper, and duck and dumplings.
