The Contemporary Fiber Artists of Louisiana’s annual “Quilt the Swamp” exhibit is on display through Feb. 15 at BREC’s Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, 10503 N. Oak Hills Parkway.

In keeping with the growth of the staff, facilities and programming at the center, this year’s exhibit celebrates change with the theme of “Metamorphosis,” a news release from BREC said.

Traditional quilted works and contemporary pieces and techniques are featured in the display of fabric and fiber artwork inspired by nature.

A Meet the Artists Reception will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Guests can visit with and learn from the artists about the techniques, materials and inspirations behind their works. Additionally, a Contemporary Fiber Artists of Louisiana meeting will be held prior to the reception at 1 p.m. and is open to members of the public who are interested in learning more about contemporary art.

“Quilt the Swamp” is available for public viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

General admission fees apply.
