The East Baton Rouge Parish library will hold one of its biggest events of the year on Saturday, where aspiring inventors, scientists and craft gurus gather for the day at its Mini Maker Faire.
The free fair at the Main Library on Goodwood runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature about 75 booths, where people can see different electronic and scientific projects and other inventions that will show off everything from fire cannons and robotics to woodworking, sewing, costume design and other skills.
The fair drew more than 3,000 people at its inaugural event last year, according to library officials.
Many local organizations will show off what they do best. The Knock Knock Children’s Museum and the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society will perform science experiments while other craft makers like Sara’s Soy Candles will be there.
