The Dogwood Alliance Baton Rouge will hold its first meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library to start a “Saving Our Southern Forests” campaign.

The campaign focuses on a practice of harvesting trees in the United States to be turned into wood pellets for fuel and power in Europe.
