GFWC Lagniappe Woman’s Club and the Baton Rouge Garden Club will hold their annual Fall Fun Fest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Baton Rouge Garden Center, 7950 Independence Blvd.
The festival includes a card and games party, luncheon tea, raffles, bake sale, seasonal decorations and a plant sale.

The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter will host the Baton Rouge Walk to Defeat ALS on Saturday at Celtic Media Centre, 10,000 Celtic Drive. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk gets underway at 10 a.m.
The walk raises funds that allow local chapters to sustain care services and support research for people living with Lou Gehrig’s disease in the Baton Rouge area. The event also features food, music, children’s activities and more.

Free, individual 15-minute counseling sessions with area attorneys will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Jones Creek Regional Branch Library.

Teens will create their own movable mummies using flexible wire and muslin.
Sign-up for A Celebration of the Trees @ the Creek is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Jones Creek Regional Branch Library.
Area businesses, schools, clubs, churches, homeowners’ associations and other organizations in the community are invited to exhibit a theme-related tree. Each organization is responsible for the decorations for the tree.
The trees will remain on display in the library Nov. 28 to Dec. 30.

Santa CAAWS is coming
Capital Area Animal Welfare Society’s annual pet photos with Santa from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at BREC Forest Park Community Park, 13900 S. Harrell’s Ferry. Photo packages range from $20 to $40.
Dogs, cats, goats, snakes, rats and other pets are welcome. If you don’t have a pet, bring yourself, your kids, your mom, your boyfriend or whomever you’d like.
AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day, lemonade by Raising Cane’s, microchipping, vendors, BREC and CAAWS information booths will be featured.
