PASADENA, Calif. — A man who was stabbed after a fight on a light rail train passing through Pasadena on Friday night is in critical but stable condition.

The 33-year-old male victim, underwent surgery at a local hospital for his injuries.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s Capt. Mike Parker says 36-year-old Jose Paul Vasquez Flores was taken into custody and is suspected of stabbing the passenger.

Nearly a hundred passengers were aboard the train when the two began throwing punches around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
