Gov. Bobby Jindal and first lady Supriya Jindal recently donated nearly 300 pounds of food to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

“I would like to thank all who have donated and supported Louisiana’s food banks. Our food banks generously serve our communities in many different ways not only during a response to natural disaster, like hurricanes, but also year round,” Supriya Jindal said.

“Louisiana’s food banks sincerely appreciate the support that we have received from governor and Mrs. Jindal during their two terms in the Governor’s Mansion,” said Mike Manning, president and CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. “Their holiday tradition of raising food to feed those in need helps to raise awareness of the issue of hunger, especially during the holiday season.”
