Geaux Teal for cancer
Geaux Teal’s fourth annual Ovarian Cancer Walk, to support women with ovarian cancer in the Baton Rouge area, begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at LSU Tiger Park.
Registration for the two-mile walk is $25 per person; sign up online at geauxteal.com. Those who wish to participate but cannot attend can register using the “Walk from Your Bed” option.
The walk will be followed by the fifth annual Strikeout Ovarian Cancer game at 6 p.m. at Tiger Park, in which the Tigers play South Carolina for game two of the weekend’s Southeastern Conference series. A pregame ceremony will honor survivors and those who have died from ovarian and other gynecologic cancers. LSU will sport commemorative teal jerseys, and fans are asked to wear teal.

Jones Creek Regional Branch Library’s annual Authors Row program is slated for 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Come meet dozens of new and established Louisiana authors. Books will be available for purchase and autograph time is available.
Chicken for all
“A Chicken in Every Pot: A Louisiana Dining Experience” will serve up a variety of chicken dishes prepared by library staff from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Jones Creek Regional Branch Library. All dishes will have a Louisiana flair. Reservations are required; call (225) 756-1150.

Teen movie day
“Mockingjay: Part 2,” the conclusion of the “Hunger Games” film series, will be shown to teens at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Jones Creek Regional Branch Library. Refreshments will be served.

Wings for autism
Families with children and adults who have autism are invited to register for the second annual Wings for Autism, an airport “rehearsal” that simulates all the activities associated with air travel.
Participants will experience everything from checking in at the ticket counter to boarding the plane, where they will experience all the sights and sounds that come with takeoff.
Wings for Autism takes places May 14 at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. The event is free, but you must register in advance; visit thearc/wingsforautism to sign up.
