HAMMOND (AP) — When ABC’s “Good Morning America” airs Thursday, the network’s back-to-school feature will include a number of scenes shot on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University and in the city of Hammond.

Robin Roberts, co-host of the morning show, will narrate a segment in which she recalls her college years as a student and star player on the Lady Lions basketball team.

A team from ABC was on campus and in Hammond last week. The production crew visited the University Center, where Roberts played basketball; KSLU radio station, where she served as a sports reporter; and various other campus scenes.

Southeastern’s cheerleaders, the Lionettes dance team and students open the segment with a greeting from the university.

The crew also visited the Brown Door, Lee’s and Brady’s restaurants in Hammond.
